ClayTrader Mail: How Greed Infects Big Goals
Wednesday Apr 19, 2017
Wednesday Apr 19, 2017
I assume that I'm stating the obvious when I say that having goals, particularly big/noble goals, is a great attribute to have. When it comes to trading emotions though, especially greed, goals can be infected and distorted in ways that will severely hinder your ability to progress and improve as a trader. As you'll see in this trader's plan, they have an epic goal, but due to greed, they being to wander into territories that are going to make their goal extra hard to accomplish.

Friday Apr 14, 2017
Friday Apr 14, 2017
Whether you are a new traders, or someone who has been trading the markets for years, seeing reminders on 'why' discipline is so important is never a bad thing. In this video I take a look at some of my actual trading I did, and then play the "what if" game in regards to what actually happened after my live trade video stopped recording. The next time I feel like breaking the rules to my trade plan or changing strategies within the middle of a trade, I am going to repeat T-E-V-A.

I Love this Trading Analogy
Friday Apr 07, 2017
Friday Apr 07, 2017
I wish I could take credit for this analogy regarding trading in the markets, but I can not. Thanks for a member of the community, they overheard this conversation about skiing and then passed it along to me as it truly does a PERFECT job of explaining why certain concepts in trading must be learned first, before other seemingly more obvious concepts. Even if you are someone who has lots of experience trading, I think this analogy can benefit you as a "friendly reminder".

ClayTrader Mail: Publicly Contradicting Yourself. Not Good!
Wednesday Apr 05, 2017
Wednesday Apr 05, 2017
Time and time again I've preached and shown examples of just how sneaky our human mind can be due to emotions. In this exchange, a "trader" proclaims one thing publicly and then immediately contradicts himself. He obviously is not aware of this, or else he wouldn't be doing it in public, but again, this goes to show how if we are not aware of our emotions, they can cause us to do some silly things... in a bad way.

Stock Trading: Predicting vs. Reacting?
Thursday Mar 30, 2017
Thursday Mar 30, 2017
When it comes to trading the markets, whether it is stocks, options, futures or Forex, one of the hotly contested topics is should you trade with a strategy that predicts, or reacts? Personally, I'm a big believe in reacting and being late to the party. I believe I give some very plausible logic in this video.

ClayTrader Mail: Open Ended Questions Tell Lots
Wednesday Mar 29, 2017
Wednesday Mar 29, 2017
I get it, having an extra set of eyes look over what you're doing as a trader can be reassuring and helpful. In fact, there is nothing wrong with asking someone else their opinions or thoughts.... however, that is 100% a matter of context. In most situations, the questions being asked are very open ended, and with that being the case reveal quite a bit about the person trading and "where-they-stand" as a trader themselves.
